The Wellington Phoenix are thrilled to announce their new kit for Season 25/26 of the A-League which has been inspired by the vertical stripes of Auckland FC. When asked about this blatant copy in design, Wellington P said that since Auckland had vertical stripes last year and won lots of games, that they should do the same to increase their own chances.
When asked why it was designed to look like a swimsuit, Wellington P stated that it would help when swimming in a flood of their own tears again this upcoming season.
The Wellington Phoenix kit was presented three months earlier than usual, in time for this month’s match against Wrexham AFC.
On 28th August 2025, Auckland FC will present their own new kit for 25/26 as a part of New Zealand Fashion Week. We’ll be there!
