For the Auckland FC vs. Adelaide United match at Go Media Stadium (01/11/25), the Black Knight Club was decorated for Halloween (which was the night before). At one end of the club was a big set up with cobwebs and gravestones and also included a large skeleton coming out of the floor. There was another skeleton sitting on a throne and of course the Premiers Plate was in the middle.

Throughout the room there were other decorations including an inflatable ghost and some jack-o-lanterns, some skulls and “scary” lanterns here and there but the highlight for many guests were a number of life-size skeletons. It was fun watching all the creative ways people were taking photos with these large skeletons. You can see more of the decorations in the video that Ange recorded.
The food was next level for this game. For the first time there were large pizza ovens in one corner of the room with a chef whipping up a variety of OH SO TASTY pizzas. Of course there was also finger food … yeah, fingers as food (just kidding, they were toes).
We also got to meet Tāma (the new Auckland FC mascot) for the first time and got to give him a big hug.
Outside of the Black Knight Club there was a ferris wheel for this game. They mentioned that this would be the only time they would have this year. We had already been on it last year (we were the first people on it that day after the NZ Herald reporter) so didn’t bother this year.

Auckland FC beat Adelaide United 2-1 with Sam Cosgrove finally getting his first A-League goal for the team. It is good to see we are still unbeaten at the start of this season.
