Sam Cosgrove‘s goal was a really ugly one after a mad scramble near the goal line but we accept ugly if it helps us win! A total contrast was Lachie Brook‘s absolute stunner! After a long pass by Hiroki Sakai, Brook comes flying along the wing and takes a long shot that curls towards the far post and goes into goal. Everyone we were watching with was blown away and said GOLAZO!
Something else happened that I hadn’t realized we’d never seen before (from memory) was Sam Cosgrove taking a hard strike from outside the box. Unfortunately it didn’t go in but it had power. Personally, we’d like to see more of these shots by Sam instead of always being targeted for headers. Spice it up lads!
