Auckland FC have announced an additional 4 players who will be playing for the Auckland FC OFC Pro League Team starting this weekend.
The new OFC Pro League players for Auckland FC are:
- Oscar Faulds – Striker
- Aston Burns – Winger
- Aidan Carey – Centre Back
- Jonathan Robinson – Left Back
Oscar Faulds comes from IF Karlstad Football, a Swedish football team. He has also played for Napier City Rovers.
Aston Burns comes from Auckland FC Reserves where he played for during the NZ National League. Earlier last year he had been playing in the NZ Northern League for Fencibles United AFC where he even scored a couple of goals against Auckland FC Reserves.
Aidan Carey comes from Western Springs AFC but has also played for Auckland City FC where he was twice a part of the squad that won the OFC Champions League. Aidan Carey joined his former Auckland City FC teammates Liam Gillion and Nathan Lobo (also a part of this squad) for the OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifier tournament in 2023 after being included in the New Zealand U-23 squad.
Jonathan Robinson comes from Western Suburbs and has played in different US teams such as Sporting Kansas City in the USA.
But wait, there’s more …
Liam Gillion and Luka Vicelich will also be a part of the OFC Pro League squad as OFC regulations allows the inclusion of under-23 players from the Auckland FC’s A-League team.
