On a windy Saturday night, Rob and Ange were at Riverhills Park for the NZ Northern League match between Fencibles United AFC and Auckland FC Reserves. What a match!
This game was one of the best games I have seen in a while. Fencibles United were up 1-0 then ended up being down 1-2 at full time after a penalty and a great goal by Sean Kane. In EXTRA TIME Fencibles United scored an equalizer in the third minute of extra time to make it 2-2 AND then Frank Clarke (Fencibles) scored the winning goal while he was on the ground two minutes later. The local crowd went wild. Rob of course was in the thick of the celebration as you will see in the final video.

⚽️ 26′ Jordan Boon (Fencibles United AFC) – This was Fencibles United’s 1st goal of the match.
⚽️ 74′ James Elder (Auckland FC Reserves) – This goal came from a penalty.
⚽️ 78′ Sean Kane (Auckland FC Reserves) – The lead-up to this goal started as a free kick. After the goalkeeper punched the ball away, Sean Kane was passed the ball and made a great strike. It hit the crossbar and went in.
⚽️ 90+3′ Kodie Nicol (Fencibles United AFC) – This was Fencibles United’s 2nd goal in the 90+3 minute of the match to make the score 2-2, hence the loud celebrations at the end. Notice how it started with a LONG pass AND assist by Fencibles United’s goalkeeper Sota Yuasa (from Japan). What a clinical finish by Kodie under pressure!
⚽️ 90+5 Frank Clarke (Fencibles United AFC) – This was Fencibles United’s 3rd goal that took place in the 90+5 minute of the match to make the score 3-2, hence the loud celebrations and the players and crowd going wild at the end. 3 minutes earlier, AND in extra time, Fencibles United were down 2-1 but scored two goals in the last couple of minutes of extra time. This was the last of the two. Notice how Frank was on the ground when he scored this decisive goal.
