⚽️ Fencibles United AFC vs. Western Springs AFC ⚽️

On a cold and VERY wet Friday night, we were at Riverhills Park for the match between Fencibles United AFC and Western Springs AFC in the elimination round of 16 of the Chatham Cup 2025.
You will notice that the last part of the game was played under intense torrential rain where at one moment it was even hard to see the other side of the pitch. This was accompanied by lightning (and thunder) and at one moment I thought they were going to call the game off.
The game was super exciting with an equalizer by Western Springs to tie up the game 1-1 in extra time. BUT only 60 seconds later, Fencibles United came back with the winning goal to give us the final score of 2-1, a crazy end to the match.
