The 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, officially known as the Copa Mundial Sub-20 de la FIFA Chile 2025, is the 24th edition of this biennial international men’s youth football championship. It features under-20 national teams from around the world and is hosted by Chile for the second time, following the 1987 edition. The tournament kicks off on September 27, 2025, and concludes with the final on October 19, 2025.

Tournament Format
In the group stage, each team plays three matches. The top two teams from each group and the four best third-placed teams advance to the round of 16. The knockout stage includes extra time and penalties if necessary.

EMBLEM of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025
The emblem of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup is inspired by the local tapestry and spectacular scenery of Chile. It weaves together the peaks of the Andes mountain range with Chile’s national flower (the copihue) while a football is perched at the top. The vivid colours of the emblem include the bold red proudly worn by Chile players and fans alike, the light blue of the Pacific coastline, the dark pink of flamingos and the orange of the Atacama Desert in the North of Chile.
