We were at Go Media Stadium on Saturday for the match between Auckland FC and Adelaide United and in a weird twist of the universe’s timelines, I came across a Wellington Phoenix Fan at the Black Knight Club. Not sure what he was doing there, maybe just came to watch some good football for once, but being the nice guy I am, I went to start a conversation with him. He wasn’t very talkative (probably shy from being around so many winners) and the only thing he said was “I’m just waiting for our club to win a trophy.” I couldn’t really identify with what he said so the conversation pretty much ended there. Oh, it seemed like he’s been waiting a long time.
